Why do I go to work each day?

At Silver Birch, I have the opportunity to help shape a dynamic organization and take on new challenges. I enjoy problem solving and leading strategic initiatives at growing companies. I’ve worked in the healthcare industry my whole career, and I find that the ability to make a difference in the lives of those we serve is consistently rewarding. Silver Birch has an inspiring mission and the company’s core values of Own it, Respect it, Improve it, Celebrate it and Live it are consistent with my own.

How did I get here?

I have over 20 years of financial experience in several sectors across the healthcare industry, which includes roles in corporate finance, analytics, business development and investment banking. Most recently, I was the head of financial planning at Care Hospice, a privately held company providing hospice care services at over 100 locations. Earlier in my career, I held a variety of finance-related roles in the medical device / pharma space, which included six years leading financial planning at two early-stage biotechnology companies and eight years in business development (M&A) and analytics positions at Baxter Healthcare. After attending the University of Michigan, I began my career in investment banking.

Who I really am…

I live in Chicago with my wife and two children. In addition to spending time with my family, which often includes trips to sporting events and exploring the city, I enjoy distance running and playing tennis. I look forward to new adventures with my family in the years ahead.
