Silver Birch statement on Sprinkler Pipe Burst at Silver Birch of Fort Wayne
On Sunday, December 25th shortly after 10pm a sprinkler pipe burst on the 4th floor of the community. The Fort Wayne fire department arrived and shut off water to the sprinkler and aided in ensuring the safety of all residents. As a result, four apartments sustained significant damage, three of which were occupied. Two of the residents were safely relocated to other apartments within the community and one resident chose to go to the home of a friend. As of 1am, water service has been restored to all areas of the community
As of Monday morning, all residents have been notified of the situation along with their families as warranted. They have been extremely cooperative. Cleanup efforts are underway and will continue in the coming days. The Silver Birch community is grateful to the Fort Wayne Fire Department for their professionalism and compassion. We are thankful, especially at the holiday season, to serve such a wonderful community.
